Hi Neil
your issue about tone working & improving – very nice ( Monster Sax Sound)
I was used to Van Dooren Java 3 but then I tried 3.5 and the sound was a bit profounder at least on the low side
what is a nice training experiment is to play without the octave valve:
it will improve your high note & top tones ability ….. and add a bit of grunge into the sound of the second octave
Hey Neal !
How about a clinic on ” how to customize your reeds”, that is…exactly where & how much does the manufacturer recomend to scrape/file your reeds without affecting the structure (if you need to of course) .For example I received a box (10) of Lavoz soft-medium.They are a bit hard. I`m experimenting, but I better ask someone who knows better. Is it only me, or, why is it so hard to find the PERFECT REED ?.

Hey Xastram,
Thanks. And that’s interesting, I’ll try it out.
You have some videos up of your bands?
